The songs are the stories that couldn't be told in the novel that goes by the same name, "The Man in the Pines," written by songwriter David Nash. Recorded at the lauded Carpet Booth Studios in Rochester, Minnesota, the album "The Man in the Pines" was inspired by the novel and walks alongside and between the pages of the story of a man who fell victim to his hubris and felt all the seasons of love and loss.

David Nash's songs are clean and calculated and rich enough to shake the marrow in your bones. The songs are mesmerizing, haunting, and hopeful and will transport you into the re-imagined life of the American folklore legend, Paul Bunyan.
